wishes

In Chinatown by the stalls
 There is a magic place
A wishing well where I tossed a coin years ago
The water rippled and I forgot
The wish so long ago
Until yesterday when You kissed me
 Casually without much thought
That concentric circle of a dream
 Came back to me
The memory complete as I Inhaled as you exhaled
 Breathing you in and holding
To the waves in my heart
 On my lips there was
 The taste of a wish
Sweeter than any
I could have imagined
